Grading day

Watch them level up

Every stripe and belt at SPG is earned. Gradings are a proud day for the whole club — parents included. Watch the kids collect their new belts.

Beyond the mats, parents tell us the biggest change is at home and at school: calmer, more confident kids who know how to stand up for themselves without throwing a punch.

Why parents choose SPG

More than a sport

For shy kids

No shouting, no singling out. Shy kids find their feet at their own pace, in pairs with kids like them — and parents tell us the confidence shows up at school within weeks.

For the ones bouncing off the walls

Endless energy meets its match. BJJ channels it into focus, listening and controlled effort — they leave calmer, and they sleep like logs.

For over-confident kids

Jiu Jitsu is humbling in the healthiest way. Kids learn respect for training partners, how to win gracefully — and how to lose, get up and go again.

Anti-bullying that actually works

BJJ teaches control, not aggression — how to stay calm, protect yourself and end a situation without throwing a punch.

Safe, supervised, structured

Qualified coaches, age-matched groups, padded mats and clear rules. Parents are welcome to watch every session from matside.

A second family

Kids train together, compete together and grow up together — and the parents end up mates too. Every family is made to feel at home from day one.

Whatever your child needs — confidence, calm, fitness or friends — there's a place for them on these mats. And when they're ready to test themselves, SPG kids compete with the coach in their corner:
